All iris are $10.00 per rhizome.

BEARDED IRIS definitions
TB = Tall Bearded - over 27.5 " high at top of bloom stalk
MEDIAN BEARDED IRISES
BB = Border Bearded - 16" - 27.5" - Resemble TBs but reduced in all parts - bloom with the TBs
MTB = Miniature Tall Bearded - 16" - 27.5" - delicately formed blooms on thinner stalks - bloom before the TBs
IB = Intermediate Bearded - 16" - 27.5" - Smaller plants - bloom between the SDBs and the TBs
SDB = Standard Dwarf Bearded - 8" - 16" - great for small areas - bloom early - compact clumps
MDB = Miniature Dwarf Bearded - less than 8" - very eary blooming, very small and cute, need some shade in Texas
ARILBRED IRISES
AB= Arilbred - bloom early - iris with biblical ties - quarterbreds and halfbreds grow similar to TBs and Medians.
OGB-, RB-, OB- - "quarterbreds" - easy to grow right in with your other bearded iris
OGB, RB, OB - "halfbreds" - most are grown like other beardeb iris, enjoy reduced moisture, can go dormant in summer.
OGB+, OB+, RB+ - "3/4breds - for experienced arilbred growers only, very porous soil, no water during summer dormancy.
BEARDLESS IRIS definitions
JI- Japanese - large flowered - most have flat or semi flat form - need moist soil, bloom after TBs
LA = Louisiana - tall, water loving irises, bloom late
SPU = Spuria - tall,look like dutch iris on steroids. NOT water plants.
There are others that do not fall in either of these categories

BEARDLESS IRIS IN THE SALE
ENSATA (Japanese) - large flowered - most have flat or semi flat form - 3 to 12+ falls, need moist soil, bloom after TBs
SPECIES - Beardless
SPECIES iris are those found in nature. Some are collected and registered with names.

SPECIES-X - Beardless
SPEC-X iris are crosses where at least 1 parent is a species iris and different from the other parent.


PSEUDATA - cross of Pseudacorus and Ensata (Japanese) iris - distinctive "eye" on falls - bloom with late TBs and Japanese.



LOUISIANA - Beardless
LOUISIANA - species and hybrids of the swamp iris that grow in the bayous of Louisiana. They LOVE water and will grow submerged in shallow water.








































SPURIA - Beardless
SPURIA - make great accent clumps. Grow like pampas grass, look like Dutch iris on steroids.
